Fusuma sliding door paper
The sliding doors found outside traditional tatami mat rooms in Japanese homes are called fusuma. The paper used to cover these doors is durable and sturdy. The paper can help to regulate the humidity inside the room, leading to fusuma doors' use for many years in Japanese homes both new and old. Fusuma door paper is available in many colors and patterns, produced using a variety of techniques, and lends the room a sense of Japanese beauty.
Fusuma door paper can be used for western-style rooms as well, making for beautiful curtains or wall decorations by folding and cutting it, among other uses.

Tapestries & Curtains
The washi paper production process is used by traditional craftsmen honing their skills as well as makers with contemporary design sensibilities. The improvement of skills and the beauty that washi paper-making can impart are held in common by both styles.
Washi paper can be beautiful in and of itself, making it perfect for many to use as-is as a tapestry, while others prefer to use washi paper to make noren-style Japanese curtains.
